Going to Mars Tour // Live Review

Judah Akers // Judah and The Lion

Judah and the Lion brought their so called “booty poppin” energy to the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas during the Going to Mars Tour.

Tyson Motsenbocker

Joining the banjo based hip-hop, rock band was Tyson Motsenbocker and The Academic.

Motsenbocker opened the show with an acoustic set and spent time in between songs explaining his music to the crowd. At one point, he asked the crowd to illuminate their phones. With a grateful grin, Motsenbocker explained how special that moment was for him to see the lights fill the floor all the way up to the balcony.

Next up was Mullingar, Ireland based band, The Academic. The band hyped up the crowd with their latest single Bear Claws. They jammed as if no one was watching and ended the set expressing how thankful they are to be playing international shows.

The Academic

Judah and The Lion finally entered the stage after a moment of ominous instrumental music and a countdown.

Vocalist, Judah Akers, gave off a “Backstreet Boy” vibe as he appeared on stage in an all white matching tracksuit covering T-Pain’s Booty Wurk. This was the perfect way to pump up the crowd for their 15 track set.

The party continued featuring crowd favorites Twenty-Somethings and Reputation. The genre mixed band even threw in a cover of Mr. Brightside by The Killers and ended the night with their radio hit Take It All Back.
