Pop punk band, Broadside, is currently happily touring with Real Friends. While this is a bigger tour for the guys they have enjoyed playing to bigger crowds and having the opportunity to meet new faces. The band has recently released a single called Puzzle Pieces off their new album Paradise that will be released June 16th!
“Where’s the line of what are you creating for? And what is right? What is wrong?” asks vocalist, Oliver Baxxter, while explaining the inspiration for the new single. He continues to state that the ideas one creates, ultimately for themselves, can be “ripped apart” by surrounding people no matter the circumstance. This song can speak to plenty of artists out there who seek their art as a career, but often feel let down by the ones who can take away the passion.

While Paradise features many different messages, the contrast from the band’s first record, Old Bones, shows that it is no longer personal events but rather for the audience to connect to. Guitarist, Dorian, states that the writing process was often mixed. The process of the album became experimental and that is shown in both new singles, Hidden Colors and Puzzle Pieces. Oliver and Dorian agree that this is a great album to jam to, but many artists will be able to dig deeper and reflect on the meaning behind the songs.
