Nominee Releases New EP ‘Drag Me Out’ // Review

Nominee has created another hit with their most recent release Drag Me Out. The EP was released on January 26th of 2017 and has pop punk fans hyped. From the group vocals to the relatable lyrics, this is definitely something you’ll want to add to your next mix CD.

You know those songs that you scream in the car on a long drive to nowhere? Well these are the emotion filled songs you can jam out to. Drag Me Out kicks off with a short song that is completely relatable for any young adult. The rest of the EP continues with that by discussing losing relationships and being on your own. “Stay” is personally my favorite song on the entire EP. If you have ever gone through a rough time then you know what it’s like to dwell on the past. Nominee helps you cope with these feelings in a healthy way.

Not only are the lyrics amazing, but the entirety of the instrumentals are just as good. I am typically one to listen for solid drum beats in a pop punk band and this is more than satisfying for me. While Nominee seems to have influences from other well known pop punk bands such as Knuckle Puck and State Champs, they never fail to stray from originality.

I am more than ready to see these dudes live and join the crowd while I shout my favorite lyrics! You can check out Nominee on Bandcamp ( and be sure to watch out for tour dates because you don’t want to miss out on this rad upcoming pop punk band!
