GOLD FINCH // BAND REVIEW

If you reside in Waterloo, Ontario then you’re probably familiar with the band Gold Finch. You might’ve seen them at a few house shows here and there or even opening up for bands such as Like Pacific. After listening to Gold Finch’s entire discography I immediately knew I had to tell Urban Vacancy readers about them.

If you’re a fan of alternative and grunge rock then Gold Finch is definitely for you. This past December they released a new EP called ‘Forlorn’ and I’ve been playing it nonstop. The 5 song EP is full of raw emotion and I kinda, sorta, really dig it. You’ll notice a slight mood change throughout each song, but the flow of the music stays constant which creates the perfect balance. Before ‘Forlorn’ they released another EP in March of 2016 titled ‘I’ve Haunted Myself For Too Long’. By the looks of it, it seems as if this band is constantly itching to put out new tunes for their listeners. House shows, alternative vibes, and a constant release of new music, what more could you ask for? Go check out Gold Finch today and add them to your Spotify playlist while you’re at it.
